Perhaps the most long-standing tradition in regards to Nemeion entertainment is the raising and battling of formidable creatures in exchange for a purse, or sometimes other rewards. The group offers various different matches, please read them in detail below to understand what they do. These matches are never to-the-death, though severe injuries can be acquired. Combat matches are instead used as a means of showcasing the strength of one's animal, entertaining the rich and poor patrons of the colosseum, and earning a hefty reward.
──── Munera Rules ────
── Domestics cannot participate in the Munera Proelium. They have their own section called Parvum Proelium that is entirely dedicated to lighter-weight combat.
── A maximum of two (2) Nemeion may be rolled per entry. No additional Nemeion should be added to the piece unless they have The Victor's Shield Armor.
── Every Nemeion should have their own, unique opponent unless otherwise stated. Opponents can be Caesar Lions, other players, humans, animals, and even creatures from other ARPGs.
Entry Guidelines
── Complete a full body, colored image with a moderately complex background, set anywhere you desire. You do not have to follow the canon setting of the roman Colosseum, however, both cats must be depicted as adults and in a form of legitimate combat (i.e. not playing with each other, etc.)
── The opponent and your Nemeion must be depicted in at least 50% body, and follow all other requirements. Shading for both is optional.
── Alternatively, you can choose to write at least 900 words of literature, which must take placing during the fight and include the opponent(s) and your lion(s) as roughly equal parts of the story. If you are collaborating your entry, the word count must be a minimum of 1,400 words.
── Once completed submit your entry to the Colosseum Journal on DeviantArt, or submit your entry to the Colosseum activity here on Nemeion.com. A form will be provided that you will need to fill out with your Nemeion's import, applicable bonuses, and a link to your entry.

Parvum Proelium, a unique and often comical spectacle within the grand Colosseum battles, pits Domestics against one another in miniature, yet fiercely contested skirmishes. Unlike the brutal clashes of Munera, these feline duels emphasize agility, strategy, and instinct rather than sheer force. The competitors—carefully selected for their cunning and spirit—engage in a mesmerizing dance of swipes, pounces, and calculated retreats, their fur bristling as they vie for dominance. While the battles remain largely ceremonial, with no serious harm inflicted, the crowds revel in the theatrics, cheering for their favored feline warriors as they showcase their natural prowess in this lighthearted yet prestigious event.
──── Parvum Rules ────
── Parvum Proelium is for Domestics only. Because they are one of the smaller builds, they are unable to participate in regular Munera entries. The Caesar wants a spectacle, not a bloodbath, after all.
── A maximum of two (2) Domestics may be rolled per entry. No additional Nemeion should be added to the piece unless they have The Victor's Shield Armor.
── Every Nemeion should have their own, unique opponent unless otherwise stated. Opponents can be Caesar Domestics, other players, and other small animals that a Domestic could theoretically beat in single combat.

Protathlitis is the pinnacle of Colosseum battles, a grand test of dominance where only the strongest lions dare to compete. Protathlitis is the ultimate test of a lion’s strength, endurance, and spirit. Nemeion who compete are required to face the reigning champion, a powerful Nemeion owned by the Caesar whose past victories have cemented their place in the hall of fame.
